Methodology
How Button Light Guide Verifies Information
\1
Source priority
We prioritize official manufacturer manuals, official support pages, product setup guides, service-provider documentation, and verified model-specific references.
Confidence labels
| Verified | Based on official or highly reliable model-specific source material. |
|---|---|
| Official but general | Based on official guidance for a product family or provider, but not every exact model variant. |
| Community-reported | Based on user or technician reports and clearly labeled as not official. |
| General guidance | Used for broad education pages only, not exact model claims. |
| Unverified | Should not be indexed as a factual guide. |
What we do not do
- We do not invent model-specific light meanings.
- We do not publish fake reviews or fake ratings.
- We do not copy full manuals into our pages.
- We do not recommend replacement parts unless the troubleshooting context supports it.
Important limitation
Device lights can vary by exact model number, firmware version, region, provider, and hardware revision. Always check the official manual or support page before opening a device, replacing parts, or performing a reset.
Quality standards
How we keep pages useful
Each guide is designed around a specific device category, brand, model or model family, light color, blinking pattern, meaning, and practical next step. We prefer official manuals and manufacturer support pages. When an exact model differs, we avoid pretending one device's light pattern applies to every device.
- We avoid fake reviews, fake testing claims, and invented manufacturer statements.
- We mark safety-sensitive situations clearly, especially alarms, batteries, power devices, and electrical equipment.
- We include source titles and source URLs where the build data supports them.
- We update pages when a manufacturer source changes or a better source is found.
